Sean Stanley grew up in the grocery business. At the age 17 he started bagging groceries for one of the most successful grocery retailers in the United States: Harris Teeter. After he turned 18 he was offered a position in the meat/seafood department. This is where he started to learn the business. For the next 13 years he would serve in several operational roles within the company. The next step for Sean was merchandising.
Sean was a category manager for the last 13 years of his career at Harris Teeter. In his tenure as a category manager he had the opportunity to learn and manage many categories in Meat/Seafood and Non-Perishables, Including Non Foods.
Sean’s decided it was time to explore the other side of the desk at HEX Performance as Vice President of Business Development. HEX Performance is a startup "Sports Detergent". In his time there Sean was able to fully understand the relationship between the category manager "Buyer" and the manufacturer "Seller". Sean used his experience as a buyer to quickly meet the demands of the category managers. In just over 2 years, Sean was able to get HEX Performance in over 25 accounts nationally. Those 25 accounts represented 3500 doors.
After leaving Hex Performance in late 2018, Sean founded WhiteSpace Branding Co. At WhiteSpace Branding Co. Sean was able to maximize his knowledge of the grocery business from both the buyer and the sellers perspective. He is also able to follow his first love of product branding and packaging. Success starts with the packaging.
WhiteSpace is when a category doesn't have a specific product that fills a consumer need.
At WhiteSpace Branding Co, we use our experience to maximize sales/distribution goals. We tend to travel downstream rather than upstream.
Sean has 3 Children. Oceann, Sean T, and Reagan. It's through their love that gives him the passion for them to know they can always define their own WhiteSpace in life.
